Ohio State football's national championships through the years

The Ohio State football team is taking on Alabama Monday night in Miami, with the winner being crowned the next national champion. The two are no strangers to these types of games, but one will have bragging rights for a whole year until we do it all again in 2021. The moment of it all got us all warm and fuzzy reminiscing about national titles of years past for Ohio State, so we decided to take a little trip down memory lane and detail each of the previous national titles that had a scarlet and gray hue to them. All told, there are eight national championships that are generally recognized by the college football world (it gets tricky depending on who you ask), each in their own time and period, each with their own individual story. So, here we go. Here’s a brief rundown of all eight of Ohio State football’s previous national championships along with the scores of every game.
